Bader Heritage Band
After playing as the Bader’s Big Band under the Douglas Bader Foundation for many years, when the charity closed its doors the players in the big band felt strongly that they didn't want to disband
In 2025 we managed to re-establish ourselves as the Bader Heritage Band. We are proud that we are still able to deliver our message as the Uk’s first disabled Big Band with some fantastic support, most notably from James and his team @ Bader Media Entertainment cic:
Music-wise we strive to produce a quality professional sound and are very versatile, being able to field a full big band, jazz combo, sax ensemble, or ceilidh band anywhere in the country. We are also available for education, workshops and talks and we are very much interested in the welfare side of communities too. We are always on the lookout for opportunities to spread our message and to perform.
